About the Program

What Is PEERS®?

CAPS is a clinic which specializes in Socialization programs for Neurodivergent children, young adults and adolescents. Our Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills (PEERS®) helps neurodivergent individuals develop strategies for improving communication skills, building relationships and understanding social cues necessary to lead a functional life.

Middle schoolers and High schoolers especially can face difficulty with making friends and maintaining friendships. Our training program focuses on helping them learn how to make friends, maintain friends and enjoy socialization.

PEERS is a world-renowned program for providing evidence-based social skills to preschoolers, adolescents, and young adults who are interested in developing and maintaining close friendships. It was first developed at UCLA by Dr. Elizabeth Laugeson and the program today has expanded to locations across the United States. It has been translated into over a dozen languages, and is used in over 150 countries across the globe.
